Training Practice

Registrars

The practice considers clinical training to be very important and has been approved as a GP Registrar training practice. The registrars are qualified doctors with at least 2 years experience who are training in general practice.

The registrars will have their own appointments under the supervision of one of our regular GPs.

Our current registrars are Dr Rebecca Leech and Dr Hazel Ballard.

Medical Students

We are an approved practice for medical students to gain experience in general practice. If your doctor has a student with them the receptionist and doctor will inform you.

You will be given the opportunity to see the doctor alone if you prefer.

Testimonials

  • Dr Griffin has been unbelievably helpful this block. She really took time to get to know us all and was always keen to teach and explain everything very well. Her enthusiasm and obvious love for her job made each day at GP very enjoyable. Her positive relationship with patients is evident and watching her interact with patients taught me a lot. She also gave us the confidence and space to develop our own skills while offering very effective feedback.
  • I learnt a lot from watching you explain things to patients and you were always very kind towards us. Thank you for being such knowledgeable and supportive teachers, and creating an ideal learning environment. I had a fantastic time here at the practice and both tutors really facilitated my learning and getting as much from my time here as possible.
  • They provided a friendly and easy environment to ask questions and make the best use of our time in our learning. They would do teaching before and after a consultation, making sure to discuss with us the case and how we would ideally respond to the patient. Overall, a wonderful experience that has definitely contributed to my knowledge and consultation manner.
